Esports and Fishing combine at the inaugural Lights Out Kids Simulator Classic, an exciting youth fishing simulator tournament taking place during the Cape Cod Blue Water Classic in Falmouth, Massachusetts. The tournament takes place the day before the start of SFC’s Cape Cod Invitational.
Hosted at Flying Bridge, this family-friendly event gives children the opportunity to put their fishing skills to the test on state-of-the-art fishing simulators while representing two of SFC’s professional Angling Clubs Lights Out Boston or the Rhode Island Breakers.
Participants will compete individually for division championships, while also earning points for their chosen club, creating an exciting team-versus-team atmosphere throughout the afternoon. At the end of the competition, champions will be crowned in each age division, along with an overall team champion.
Team Competition
Upon check-in, each participant will choose to represent either Lights Out Boston or Rhode Island Breakers. While every angler competes for their own individual score, each performance also contributes valuable points toward their team's overall total.
Age Divisions
The tournament is open to young anglers in the following age groups:
- 8 & Under
- Ages 9-12
- Ages 13-16
Beyond the simulator competition, families will have the opportunity to experience everything that makes tournament week at the Cape Cod Blue Water Classic special. Guests can enjoy sponsor activations, meet professional anglers, and take in the excitement and anticipation of the tournament weigh-ins.
Whether they're experienced young anglers, or trying the sport for the very first time, participants will experience the forces of battling billfish and tuna in a fun, interactive environment designed to introduce kids to the excitement of offshore fishing.
